Our client is seeking a Human Resource Services Advisor for their downtown Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, HR Services, the successful candidate will provide first-point-of-contact support for all human resources inquiries from employees and retirees across the company on a variety of HR processes, policies, practices and programs. In this role, they will partner with the broad HR team to deliver and exceptional employee experience.


  • Responds to queries and provides guidance in line with HR processes, policies, practices and programs
  • Provides HR support and advice to clients on various HR topics
  • Provide high quality, timely resolution and professional customer service via online portal, telephone and chat
  • Collaborate with the HR partners to resolve complex matters and find solutions and escalate matters not resolved at the first point of contact to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Thoroughly and accurately record all inquiries using case management application and utilize SAP and other online tools
  • Support the administration of various human resources programs for employees and leaders
  • Identify opportunities to improve our service focused on effectiveness and efficiency as well as simplify processes
  • Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities as well as projects or initiatives


  • University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Two or more years of HR or relevant experience
  • Minimum of one year in a service role with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong proficiency in SAP, case management applications, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistently deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to resolve inquiries in an effective and timely manner while managing competing priorities in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Solid organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Problem solver with critical thinking skills including an aptitude to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and complex organization
  • Highly motivated to work in an open, team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset
