Our client is seeking a Lead Field Operator to be the primary communicator between the control room and field activities ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with all HSE and regulatory policies and local requirements. This will be a rotational 28 on 28 off assignment in PNG.
Coordinates the development and delivery of operating parameters to ensure all operations are maintained within established limits and the safety of personnel and equipment is prioritised.
Oversees day to day operational field work and operating equipment to ensure safety requirements of personnel are adhered to, to identify improvements in productivity and to schedule maintenance issues.
Manages, schedules and prepares the requirements for field operations activity and manages the timely implementation of maintenance to minimise production downtime and maximise safe and efficient operations.
Contributes to the identification of operational training needs in consultation with the production supervisor to ensure mandatory training licenses and other development needs are captured.
Actively promotes and drives a value for safety requirements in all operational activity, and conducts field investigations where required, to hold personnel accountable for ensuring a safe working environment.
Conducts regular inspections, records and reports on matters or issues impacting operational activities to quality assure and ensure the company is compliant with the latest operating standards and procedures.
Manages and where required is the lead activator of the field emergency response plan and maintains a thorough understanding of site emergency procedures.
Degree in relevant engineering qualification preferred, high level of equivalent qualification also considered.
Cert IV in Process Plant Technology
Competent at interpreting regulation and policy directions
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum five years' experience in oil and gas industry.
