We are currently looking for a professional, experienced in the management of large scale, process driven plant / mill operations.

The responsibilities
The roles main area of responsibility resides in the management of two functions within the plant's operations, ensuring the proper management of both the maintenance and engineering elements of the plant including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring the operational readiness of the production facilities, other machinery and buildings
  • Personnel management of the subordinated employees under special consideration of labour law and safety regulations
  • Compliance with environmental regulations for the plant area
  • supervision and coordination of external companies
  • Compliance with DIN ISO 9001 / 22000 and implementation of corrective actions in the subordinate area
  • Cost control and budget responsibility of the subordinate division
  • Identification of cost saving potentials and advancement of the continuous improvement process
  • Independent execution of the investment planning and realization under consideration of the corresponding specifications (Capital Management Manual)
  • Continuous optimization of the production facilities and efficient deployment of the subordinated personnel

Fluent German and a good unerstanding of English are essential for success in this role.

The experience
The ideal candidate will be a confident and capable general management professional, who possesses a hands-on style of management and a commitment to people development. You will demonstrate strong communications skills at all levels and will be comfortable working, planning and managing a medium sized team. There will be daily and weekly reports and meetings to discuss and steer the overall performance of both the workforce and management team.
Fluent German and good English skills are essential for success in this role.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate experience of having worked in a similar position of senior management with a maintenance focus. You will also require a proven track record of success in a leadership role that also requires medium to large levels of financial responsibility.
