Mechanical Maintenance Planner - Contract - Curtis Island

Our client an integrated oil and gas major is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join their team in Gladstone to work on Curtis Island.

You will be required to perform technical support to the Planning and Scheduling Team on long term scheduling and deliver 30 and 90-day resource levelled maintenance schedules.


Work closely with the short-term scheduler to enable the delivery of high-quality schedules.

Maintain good communications with the all key stakeholders.

Review all planned activities for the next 2-year period annually generating a high-level plan of major activities.
Review and update 52-week look-ahead on a quarterly basis.
Participate in meetings on TA/SD activities

Participate in meetings with Production/IAP Planning.
Facilitate quarterly 52-week, 90-Day and 30-Day scheduling meetings.
Keep informed of available craft capacities and campaign periods, highlighting upcoming constraints in time to mitigate them.

Generate reports as required to assist operations and maintenance with planning.
Monitor longer term workload to identify constraints or delays and determine best approach to resolving issues.
Proactively drive continuous improvement within the Planning and Scheduling Team.


Significant experience as a scheduler within the oil & gas industry.
Able to work effectively with team/work groups.

In-depth, hands-on understanding and experience in the use of Primavera P6, Excel, Maximo, Spotfire.

Knowledge and expertise of scheduling practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to maintenance execution.

Display a level of technical skills/knowledge in job related areas and keep abreast of current developments and trends in the area of expertise.

LNG Plant preferred.
Knowledge of statutory requirements and management of safety critical equipment.

This is an immediate requirement to be based locally in Gladstone - ideally you will have worked on LNG plant before in a maintenance planning role related to the midstream energy sector.

Market rate paid to the successful individual with a long-term contract on offer.
