Mechanical Integrity Engineer - Contract - Melbourne, VIC



Our client an integrated oil and gas major is looking to engage a Mechanical Integrity Engineer with a background in brownfield operations. This role will predominantly be based in Melbourne but will require visits to site as part of the role.

Key Accountabilities:

Develop, implement and manage mechanical maintenance programs for valves, piping, pressure vessels and small-bore tubing.
Execute the development, implementation and continuous improvement to the corrosion management programs.
Review and analyse corrosion system data, trending of results and development recommendations for program adjustments as required.
Develop scope of works for repairs and steward the associated management of change processes

Background:

Bachelor of Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years working experience in petrochemical industry or other related industry.
Familiarity with relevant AS, ASME and API standards of Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with mechanical fitness for service assessment in addition to a working knowledge of materials selection and valve design / management for a petrochemical asset.
Strong communication, leadership and business judgment skills.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to travel to offshore and onshore sites.
