Job description

We are currently looking to source an Offshore Commissioning Engineer Instruments to support our Client.

The Role:

  • Support the Company Offshore CSU Lead Engineer with the remaining instrument commissioning and start-up activities on the project
  • Technical specialist in Control & Automation with the ability to understand and manage a range of technical issues concurrently.
  • Assist EPCI in fault finding instrument issues and provide suggestions of corrective actions and assist implementation
  • Interface with and enable the EPCI to complete remaining instrument loop check sheets and system functionality check sheet
  • Assist in the development of permit to work applications to allow scope completion of remaining instrument check sheet and punch clearance scope
  • Assist and contribute to reduction of standing alarms and transfer of alarm areas as part of alarm management strategy
  • Management and assurance of the site Bypass override processes
  • Assist in the development of permit to work applications to allow scope completion of remaining instrument check sheet and punch clearance scope
  • Support and assure of the site Bypass override processes
  • Focal point to the Vendors and Global IAMS technical discipline network on Smart Instrumentation and IAMS.
  • Conduct HSE management walkthroughs to ensure compliance with our clients Life Saving Rules

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong HSE leadership and background
  • Technical specialist in Control & Automation with the ability to understand and manage a range of technical issues concurrently.
  • Prior experienced in the support and delivery of commissioning scope and start up activities
  • Experience with standalone control systems/package PLC's and the serial interface to the DCS. (working with Emerson DeltaV preferred)
  • Experience with interoperability and functionality items regarding Smart Instrumentation comprising Foundation Fieldbus and Hart and their functionality in the AMS.
  • Experience with the set up and commissioning of Fiscal metering skids and associated QMI's
  • Good team worker: carry out activities in close cooperation with Company operations, contractor and vendor staff.
