Job description

Our client, one of the world's largest oil producers, is seeking PCN Security Engineer to work within their facilities located in Houston, TX on an 8-months assignment.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy virtualized Operator Training Simulators
  • Worked on the PCN Enterprise Inventory project to automate collection of inventory information for devices in Level 3 and below of the Purdue model
  • Stage test environments to evaluate and simulate production process automation systems and solutions
  • Develop codes to automate the system compliance checks
  • Test software updates, upgrades, and patches before they are implemented in production
  • Strategic research and technical development in the ICS (Industrial Control Systems)/PCN (Process Control Network) area.
  • Perform Control System Upgrades at mission critical sites
  • Work across all levels of the Purdue model
  • Setup and configure and upgrade PCN systems
  • Understand the various technical specifications of the servers and help client improve the efficiency of the servers by designing scripts to automate repetitive and time consuming tasks
  • Conduct risk assessments/conformance assessments based on the NIST framework for Major Capital Projects (MCP) and Business Units to identify risks and provide recommendations to mitigate the identified risks
  • Perform detailed system compliance assessments, architecture review, infrastructure design consulting, technology qualifications, etc. for Major Capital Projects (MCP) and Business Units
  • Present recommendations for process enhancements in the area of compliance check and remediation of non-compliant servers and helped the client reach the 92% compliance level mark from the previous 65% level within a duration of 6 months
