Summary on the location/vacancy:
I am currently recruiting for a Principle Piping Engineer to work on a PERMENANT basis, for a leading EPC based in Aberdeen. You will be working on a subsea FPSO/FLNG project designing, planning and reviewing general piping, manifold/towhead pipework, technical docs and tie-ins in accordance with subsea piping/mechanical systems and acknowledging industry Codes, Standards, Design Guides, Client Specifications and Scopes of Work. The client is willing to offer a competitive salary plus car allowance.
The ideal candidate would have experience:
- Producing & checking detailed stress/ flexibility design reports/calculations, feasibility reports, construction drawings, design specifications, material take-offs, data sheets, valve specifications, isometrics, manifold/towhead pipework and rigid riser/ tie-in pipe work.
- Experience engineering large scale topsides or subsea manifold / subsea processing / towhead piping design teams
- Good knowledge of forgings/ connectors/ flanges/ pulled bends/ small & large bore valves/ fittings/ seals & gaskets, single bore & multi-bore hub connectors & associated subsea tie-in systems (flow-lines/ risers etc)
- Liaising with subsea related disciplines/vendors and training/mentoring junior engineers.
