Job description

Our client, an energy company, is seeking someone for a Production Analyst position to work within their facilities located in Austin, TX.

The production analyst role is handling the production data from our operated wells using Merrick, a software system, designed to house, calculate, and allocate oil, gas, and water data.


  • Track and distribute reports on operated production
  • QC data in eVIN/Procount (Merrick Software) from operators' inputs
  • Interact with field personnel, accounting, engineering, and partners on a daily basis
  • Handle and distribute IT issues communicated from operators as needed
  • Prepare and distribute well connection reports to internal teams
  • Distribute allocations to accounting and partner companies
  • Type memos, correspondence, and reports
  • Setup well pads and allocations in Merrick Software
  • Add wells to Route Setup Tool (eVin) for field operators
  • Reconcile Monthly SWD Allocations
  • Reconcile Monthly Oil truck tickets
  • Reconcile Monthly Oil pipeline sales
  • Gather necessary production information and reports for state and internal audits as needed
  • Heavy filing as needed


  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry with a Production Analytic and technical background a plus
  • Experience in Merrick Software, and functional knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Excellent skill set required in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access
  • Must have good data entry skills
