About the role

Our client is seeking to appoint a Project Developer for the management of their internal and external input for development. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects progress to commercial pre-construction phase while recognising schedule, cost and quality expectations. The role is also responsible for providing strategic development input including commercial and planning advice to guide the logical and strategic passage of projects from feasibility through to the construction and operational phases.

Required skills and experiences:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate with be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

  • Tertiary qualifications in town and regional planning, environmental planning, commerce, business management, science or engineering preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in renewables (wind and/or solar) development.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Town/Regional Planning and/or Grid Connection processes with relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with landowners, councils, government, and other stakeholders; demonstrated understanding of local community dynamics.
  • Available to travel regularly to regional and interstate locations as required.
  • Ideally based in Melbourne.
