PROJECT MANAGER

Calgary, AB

Our client, one of the global market leaders in emission controls is looking for a Project Manager to join the team on a Permanent, Full Time basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate all major Projects in a portfolio of 3-10 at any given time
  • Act as the contact for the client and project team members in all phases of the project
  • Monitor and report to stakeholders on project progress
  • Allocate project resources
  • Ensure a smooth transition between project engineering, commissioning and site startup (both well site and facilities work)
  • Provided turnover packages to operations following start up
  • Coordinating job specific QA/QC activities
  • Act as in country job coordinator for international projects
  • Support, direct and coordinate with engineering, operations and logistics, HSE and HR departments on job scope planning
  • Participate in HAZOP exercises
  • Problem solving to meet required deadlines
  • Equipment mobilization planning
  • Manpower allocation planning

Essential Skillsets/Education:

  • Project management designation or 10+ years for project management in the below disciplines
  • Holds both technical and practical field experience
  • Truly coordinated an Oil & Gas project from start to finish, and has been involved with every aspect, not just components of it
  • Managed a portfolio of smaller projects (around 3-10)
  • Ability to interface with high levels clients in a coherent manner
  • H2S experience
  • Ability to travel and have a valid passport
  • Valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid tickets
  • Contract negotiation
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Personality and Character Traits: Critical Thinker, Problem Solver, Excellent Decision Maker, Leadership Capabilities, Excellent Communicator, Adaptable, High Tolerance Levels to High Pressure Environments, Strong Willed, Innovative

Desirable Skillsets:

  • International experience in the Middle East and Europe
  • Experience in both well testing/servicing AND facilities
  • Experience in early production facilities
  • Construction or Operations background
  • Smaller company experience with exposure to executing projects
