Quality Coordinator - Contract - Melbourne

Our client is seeking a Quality Coordinator to work within their offices located in Melbourne.

You will be responsible for effective management of the project to achieve project objectives for quality.

Provide guidance and leadership on Quality (QA/QC)

Implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control oversight requirements for design and construction of facilities per Company's Operations Integrity Management System.

Responsibilities:

Technical audit management of Main Contractors undertaking Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance work for Company.

Review and approval of contractors' quality plans.

Ensuring contractors implement their quality plans.

Periodic audits of contractors' quality plan implementation.

Management of company's quality assurance system to company expectations.

Develop and steward quality system objectives and priorities.

Provide leadership for company and quality issues.

Liaison with procurement services to ensure third party processes and procedures deliver equipment and materials for ongoing facility operating, maintenance and repair activities meet specifications.

Provide technical support and advice to engineers, field technicians and management.

Assist workgroups in translating strategic objectives and ensure that work plans are aligned.

Provide direct support to projects, operations and maintenance groups as requested.

Conduct training and induction programs to ensure personnel understand the quality assurance objectives.

Background:

Demonstrated multitasking co-ordination of work, effective communication skills & solution oriented.

Formal Quality Assurance qualifications and audit certification.

Sound knowledge of ISO9001 - Quality Management Systems and sound understanding of implementation of Project Quality Management Systems.

15 years minimum experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

At least 10 years in Quality Assurance role.

Knowledge of high-level work practices and facilities will be considered as an advantage.

Relevant tertiary qualification. Engineering degree preferred but not mandatory.
