I have been retained by my client (a global organisation specialising in manufacturing industrial process filtration products) to recruit a sales manager to be responsible for the territory in Northern Germany on a permanent basis (based out of Hamburg, Leipzig or Hannover)
The sales manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities in the assigned German territory to both OEM's and/ or Chemical Manufacturers. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities in the German market as well as maintaining and growing existing customer accounts. This role is a Business Development role ("hunting role) and you will be required to identify and complete new sales to new clients in the assigned region. This is not a "farming" (Account Manager role). You will develop new client's and customer relationships in order to generate sales.
You will prepare a variety of status reports, including itineraries, timely call reports and expense reports; reviews monthly sales reports in order to monitor customer performance and evaluate appropriate business actions; forecasts annual sales, reports pertinent customer data, gathers and reports on competitive activity, and updates CRM database . You will communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, and information or feedback gathered through field activity to Sales Director .
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred and technical sales experience within the filtration industry. Experience selling to OEM's or Chemical companies would be preferred. You must have a proven track record of successfully increasing sales volume consistently. Candidates must be a Fluent German and English speaker. Client will consider a graduate.
