I am recruiting for a Sales Manager (DACH region) for an international chemical business (working from home with 50% travel required) to be based in Germany on a staff basis,
The role reports to the EMEA Sales Director and requires 5-8 years sales experience in selling speciality chemicals to painting, coating and adhesive manufacturers.
A degree in Chemical Engineering (or related) would be advantageous. Fluent English and German is required.
Overall Responsibilities for the position is for the Aliphatic diisocyanates (ADI) product range and includes managing 5-6 accounts ("Farming") with a 15 million EUR sales budget. Overall turnover for the business unit is 50 million which they are looking to double in the coming years. The ability to "hunt" and win new business is an advantage also.
Candidates must be able to speak fluent German and English.
You will maintain and increase sales of products and reaching the aggressive growth targets set for the business; Establishing, maintaining and expanding customer base; Servicing the needs of existing customers; Ability to manage large Key accounts in a matrix set-up with the global sales organisation (USA, LATAM, APAC); Show a proactive attitude; Compiling and analysing sales figures; Market intelligence: collecting customer feedback and market research; Keeping up to date with products and competitors; Be in direct link with logistic dpt. and ensure a good level of service to customers.
