Airswift, working with a leading refiner, is seeking a Jr. Scheduler to work within their refinery inthe Los Angeles area.
The TAR Scheduler is responsible for building the Primavera (P6) schedule including leveling of resources. Responsibilities include:
(a) Serve as the refinery Primavera (P6) system administrator.
(b) Review and approve refinery requests for Primavera (P6) access.
(c) Maintain the TAR worklist.
(d) Track and report progress on the Plan-of-the-Plan (POP).
(e) Oversee completion of necessary coding.
(f) Create exception reports on necessary coding. Provide feedback to planners.
(g) Create exception reports for use of proper Jobcard numbers. Provide feedback to planners.
(h) Create standard project milestones.
(i) Identify and create project specific leveling milestones.
(j) Provide guidance on proper use of internal logic within Jobcard plans.
(k) Provide guidance on proper use of external logic to standard milestones.
(l) Ensure plans meet refinery planning guidelines and provide feedback to planners to maintain consistency.
(m) Document scheduling priorities guidelines and communicate to the planners.
(n) Review scheduling priorities are complete and meet guidelines.
(o) Review/complete logic ties between Jobcards and project specific scheduling milestones.
(p) Review logic network for quality and completeness.
(q) Review logic network with applicable planners for correctness.
(r) Facilitate logic reviews with client, primary, and secondary contractors.
(s) Level resources per client guidelines for the entire TAR project(s).
(t) Provide manhour reports to the Project Controls Group for check estimates, control estimates, and re-forecasts.
(u) Complete the reviews described in the Primavera (P6) Administrative Checklist prior to setting project baselines.
(v) Set and maintain TAR project baselines.
(w) Set up, administer, and issue Artemis execution reports (Pre-TAR, TAR, Post-TAR phases).
(x) Work closely with Project Controls to interface the cost system and planning systems for producing reports on productivity and indirect/direct ratio.
(y) Oversee progress updates to the plan during execution phases (Pre-TAR, TAR, and Post-TAR).
(z) Provide progress and performance reporting during all TAR phases.
(aa)Provide data for TAR close-out reports and performance summaries.
Note: The scheduler should have a background in resource leveling and scheduling in Primavera (P6). This person works with many planners and contractors so the ability to work with others and provide positive coaching to peers is also needed.
