Senior Gas Plant Operator - Contract FIFO - Queensland

Our client is looking to engage Senior Gas Plant Operators to join the field operations team in Central/Western Queensland.

You will be responsible for safe and efficient gas processing, through control of compressor facilities and various plant and equipment. The incumbent will provide frontline plant surveillance and defect recognition, maintaining a strong focus on ensuring production optimisation.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitor baseline maintenance of compressor stations to ensure the high availability of the compressor sets and plant, as well as effective metering and pressure regulation.
Complete area surveillance and rectify (to level of competence) and/or report safety, environmental, maintenance and production issues, ensuring that all identified defects are appropriately documented in the relevant registers and databases.
Participate in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance to manufacturer's guidelines, and careful observation of maintenance agreements and warranties.
Maintain operational support for emergency response equipment as required.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in operating process plants. Ideally in CSG to energy sector.
Instrumentation controls experience. High level field gas operations experience
High pressure gas experience and previous accountability for undertaking discrete tasks without supervision desirable.
Trained and verified as competent to operate plant and equipment.
Experience in basic workplace reporting procedures
Training relating to working in confined spaces.
Training relating to working at heights.

Be conversant with Pipeline Standards AS2885.

In order to be considered for this position you will have proven experience in a similar role and all relevant certification to work at site. On successful application site work will have a 15/13 - 12-hour day roster and pay market rate for the right individual.
