Our client is seeking a Warehouse Materials Coordinator to work within their facilities located in Spruce Grove, AB, Canada.

General Information
Reporting to the Canadian Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for management of materials and inventory from the receipt of goods through to the storage, prep for usage, outbound delivery, and the day-to-day warehouse operations. This role performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, delivering, physical disposal and returning a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies including high-dollar, heavy, or HAZMAT items in support of the business.
The role is strictly concerned with customer service to internal customers as well as optimized warehouse operations. Thus, this role will interface with Warehouse Management, Project Management, Operations, and Pipeline Maintenance to optimize order fulfillment and material management processes.


  • Administer and/or conduct warehouse cycle counts, report inventory stock count accuracy and discrepancies, and investigate root causes for inventory inaccuracy
  • Advise Warehouse Manager or applicable SC Leader of Warehousing & Material Manager of storage facility limitations & capacity concerns
  • Check invoices, work orders, consumption reports, demand prediction to estimate peak dispatch period and to carry out work order fulfilments
  • Conduct Cycle Counting and/or Physical Inventory Process per schedule and perform initial audit for Root Cause; report unresolved discrepancies to Warehouse Functional Lead if applicable
  • Count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
  • Work with Logistics team and Logistics suppliers to schedule delivery times and routing information / decisions
  • Ensure proper documentation and package marking with appropriate placards when moving hazardous materials
  • Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities
  • Required to drive company vehicle (forklift, loader, light truck) and maintain any/all licences in good standing as required
  • Monitor and advise on the performance of suppliers (freight providers) as required
  • Monitor and maintain physical condition of warehouse
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to reposition materials
  • Perform transactions in the SAP inventory system to enter new quantities and to remove inventory from stock to ensure accurate system and documentation updates
  • Promote and participate in STREAMLINE activities such as team huddles, and promote continuous improvement
  • Responsible for receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of critical inventory (including pre-tested pipe, equipment and supplies)
  • Verifies correctness of catalogue/inventory numbers, descriptions, quantities, units, and location and resolve and/or communicate differences


  • Competition of Grade 12 education is required;
  • Post-secondary Diploma Program or equivalent and/or 5 years related experience is preferred;
  • Knowledge and experience in materials and warehouse management;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other system based applications;
  • Experience with materials management module in SAP;
  • Ability to operate company vehicles (Class 5) (Provision of a driver's abstract is required);
  • Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts up to 24,000 lb. capacity (Certification is required);
  • Hoisting and rigging principles and practices (Certification is required);
  • Proficiency in TDG, WHMIS, and handling hazardous waste preferred;
