The role
An established Perth-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Process Engineer / Metallurgist with extensive gold project experience to join their team of six. This is a permanent role with long-term prospects and involvement across multiple project phases—from studies to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process design for gold processing plants, including flow sheets and equipment selection
- Develop and review mass balances, P&IDs, and process models
- Drive feasibility studies and project execution
- Work closely with clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure practical, effective designs
- Mentor junior staff and support a high-performing team cultur
- Degree in Metallurgy (Chemical Engineering not accepted)
- 20+ years’ experience in mineral processing, focused on gold/ base metals
- Strong background in both design and site operations
- Confident leading teams and managing technical delivery
