Our client, a major O&G company, is looking for a Lead Project Engineer to work on a long-term contract in La Porte, Texas.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development of the technical scope, and alignment with the Project Developer and Internal Customer to translate the project requirements into a service delivery.
  • Initiate and monitor the master project schedule up to FID;
  • Development and updating of the Basis of Design in co-responsibility with the Project Developer;
  • Development of the plan for management, control, and reporting, providing corrective action alternatives for schedule and cost deviations within the engineering functions;
  • Coordinate design engineering activities (e.g. completing/facilitating FEED, MTO & cost estimate, attend constructability review during engineering), and the delivery of as-built documentation to support the Internal Customer;
  • Provide continuity and coordination of the engineering, procurement, and construction functions supporting the project from the Identification Stage through project startup and Evaluation Stage;
  • Provide support on issues, review and approval of detailed engineering documents and vendor packages;
  • Ensure that pertaining engineering activities (e.g. process, civil, marine, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, painting, insulation) are carried out according to project requirements;
  • Report to Project Manager and liaise with other discipline lead engineers in order to ensure a proper coordination and interface among different disciplines;
  • Prepare and deliver as-built documentation during the Commissioning Stage.
Main Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience working in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Background in Electrical & Instrumentation
  • General knowledge of industry procedures and practices.
