Job Summary:

Airswift is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician III to support one of our major clients operations at an innovative industrial facility in Brawley, California. This position plays a key role in maintaining mechanical systems that support advanced mineral extraction processes. Candidates with prior experience in lithium or brine-based chemical processing environments are strongly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures

  • Perform safety, quality, and environmental inspections

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular housekeeping

Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing of machinery

  • Troubleshoot and maintain centrifugal and mag drive pumps

  • Recommend and implement equipment refurbishment or replacement

  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems

  • Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and repair methods

Team Collaboration

  • Cooperate with team members to achieve plant goals

  • Participate in special teams for troubleshooting or continuous improvement


Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Familiarity with mineral processing or chemical extraction systems

  • Prior work experience in facilities involved in brine handling, direct lithium extraction, or similar technologies

  • Understanding of equipment used in high-purity resource recovery (e.g., filtration systems, ion exchange units, separators)


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of plant maintenance experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to analyze mechanical/electrical problems and implement effective repairs

  • Clear and concise communication skills with supervisors and colleagues

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Plant or Maintenance Technology Certificate preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor

  • Dexterity for operating hand and power tools, assembling/disassembling equipment, and mobile equipment operation

  • Ability to distinguish colors related to electrical wiring

  • Must be responsive to visual and audible alarms
