We are seeking a Marine Project Engineer to support the execution of marine operations for a 12 month contract. This role encompasses two phases, beginning with dredging operations in Argentia and transitioning to installation activities in St. John's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the completion of dredging operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality management systems.
- Manage technical queries and interfaces between the Dredging Contractor and the CGS Construction Contractor.
- Assist the Regulatory team in preparing necessary permits and authorizations for the 2025 campaign.
- Provide input and support for technical documentation, including regulatory reports and internal communications.
- Act as a Client Representative onboard vessels as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure operational readiness for Topsides transportation and installation.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Engineering Degree (Civil, GeoTechnical, Ocean, or related discipline).
- P.Eng. registration eligibility with PEGNL.
- 5-10+ years of experience as a project engineer in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Experience with dredging operations and the regulatory environment in Canada is an asset.
- Understanding of HSEQ, risk management, and project management processes.
Work Conditions:
- Initial phase in Argentia: up to 50 hours/week; potential night shifts.
- Transition to St. John's: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
- Must pass physical exams for Basic Offshore Survival Training (BST) and be capable of site inspections in varying climates.
