Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to search for a Materials Coordinator III to work on a 1-year contract (with the possibility of extension) in La Vergne, TN.

High Level Description:
This position provides operational support for materials storage, inventory, shipping and receiving at our centralized material storage warehouse that supports operations and maintenance of pipeline facilities. The position is responsible to maintain material coordination, inventory controls, traceability, materials receipts and disposition. Contributes to the achievement of operational and project cost, schedule, quality and EH&S goals.

Specific Accountabilities:
• Manage warehouse operations safely and efficiently.
• Oversee accurate inventory control using the inventory control system.
• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for pipe, fittings and equipment required for Emergency Pipe Line Repair.
• Oversee orderly distribution of operating and construction materials.
• Consult with Regional Technical experts to determine disposition of assets removed from service.
• Consult with Project Management personnel to determine disposition of surplus construction materials.
• Ensure proper documentation required for sale of material and equipment is provided to Capital Assets Department.
• Assist with managing warehouse operations budget and expense reports.
• Ensure contractors are ISNetworld certified prior to starting work.
• Conduct Contractor Safety Orientations as required.
• Comply with all mandatory safety training.
• Comply with Operations and Projects Safety Manuals.
• Track all required safety metrics.
• Available evenings and weekends to respond to emergency call-outs if required.
• On call, based upon a seven-day rotation with the Warehouse teammates

Scope/Dimensions:
• Daily activities include safety awareness, warehouse management, accurate inventory control and review of inventories.
• Ensure that a high level of customer service and communication with internal and external customers is maintained.
• Oversee the safe operation of all forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoisting and rigging activities during loading & unloading activities.
• Work within a team environment and as a contributing member on cross functional teams.
• Responsible for the accurate management of warehouse costs.
• Ensure the warehouse is kept in a neat, presentable condition and in compliance with OSHA and safety regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
• Related University degree from an accredited college in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or equivalent.
• Seven or more years of experience working in supply chain, construction or manufacturing environment with focus on warehouse, inventory, planning, quality, procurement, or equivalent.
• Forklift certified, with previous experience moving and lifting heavy loads.
• Preferred experience with heavy equipment Telehandler, Skid steer, Excavator, and Overhead Crane.
• Proven results in inventory control, planning, scheduling and execution of materials.
• Strong communication, analytical, organization, problem solving and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced capabilities in Excel.
• Provide high level of internal and external customer service
• Good written and verbal communication skills
Possess a valid drivers license

Preferred:
• Experience using Oracle and Maximo for materials receiving and order fullfillment
• Enrollment in a SCM related professional certification, such as PMAC or ISM, is considered an asset.
• Experience in a leadership position managing a small team
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.

Working Conditions:
• Offices located with a normal operating warehouse and yard.
• Normal conditions include the use of personal protective equipment which may consist of; steel toed boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, coveralls, safety goggles and face shields where applicable.
• During adverse weather conditions [rain or snow], additional PPE is required during the loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
• Within regional operating locations, due to the potential exposure to hazardous environment associated with natural gas, FR clothing and personal gas monitors may be required while making deliveries or pickups in these locations.
• Travel to Suppliers and other Company locations as required.
