Job requirements
- In-depth knowledge of piping design, valve specification, and general knowledge in mechanical equipment and packages – Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Towers, Flares, Fired Heaters, Compressor packages, Instrument Air packages – etc.
- Experience in rotating equipment is an asset but not a requirement
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards – ASME B31.3/B31.1, ASME BPVC, CSA Z662, API 650, API 579, ASME PCC-1/2, TEMA
- Experience in stress analysis and use of CAESAR II software is an asset
- Experience in other design software’s such as PV Elite, Compress, Tank, HTRI, an asset but not a requirement
- Experienced with supporting small in-house MOC’s with piping design, piping stress analysis, and other general mechanical scopes
- Troubleshooting operational issues with valves, equipment, piping, pipelines, etc.
- Supporting capital projects in assurance activities of 3rd party deliverables and design development – P&ID , mechanical equipment list/datasheets, material selection diagrams, specialty item list/datasheets, RFP/RFQ, Technical Bid Evaluations, and Study work
