OFFSHORE INTERVENTION COACH
 
Location: Offshore
Contract duration: 4 Months + extension of two trips (if required)
Schedule: 3x3 Rotation
  
On behalf of our customers, we are currently recruiting for an Offshore Intervention Coach to work on a 4 months’ contract with the possibility of extension.
 
Scope of work 
To enhance the capacity of offshore personnel to effectively deliver training in intervention skills, fostering a proactive safety culture and effective communication on TEPDK assets.
Onsite Training to include:
• Conduct interactive and engaging Train the Trainer sessions for selected personnel on the offshore asset
• Focus on intervention techniques, including
- Recognising safe behaviours
- Recognising and addressing unsafe behaviors
- Effective communication techniques under pressure
- Conflict resolution strategies
- Building trust and rapport within teams
• Provide real-life scenario-based exercises to enhance practical understanding
Observation and Feedback:
• Observe participants delivering interventions and safety conversations
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their facilitation skills
• Evaluate their capability to independently train others
Assessment and Certification:
• Develop and administer assessments to gauge participants’ understanding and skill development.
• Recommend participants for internal certification as trainers based on performance.
Reporting and Recommendations:
• Prepare a detailed report summarising:
- Training outcomes
- Participant performance
- Recommendations for ongoing support and development
• Provide feedback on the offshore training environment and any suggested improvements

Skills / Qualifications 
  • Proven experience in offshore environments, including knowledge of safety-critical industries (oil & gas, energy, etc.).
  • Educated to a degree level in a Psychology subject
  • Expertise in delivering Train the Trainer programs, especially related to intervention skills and communication
  • Strong knowledge of human factors and safety culture enhancement
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Offshore survival training (e.g., BOSIET certification) and medical clearance to work offshore
