Airswift is seeking an Onshore Pipeline Lead Engineer to work on a Contractor position in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil and Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Must ensure quality and compliance for:
- Pipeline system design as required by the company and specifically ABNT NBR 12712 and 15280-2.
- Civil works, construction and installation of pipelines
- Mechanical design, i.e. wall thickness and analysis
- Pipeline system interface, including interfaces to other disciplines and stakeholders
- Engineering and manufacturing documentation
- Work is well planned, including all relevant permits
- Perform mechanical completion walkdowns to identify nonconformities
- Use of the company's design tool for completion (ProCoSys)
- Establish and manage pipeline risks and identify measures
- Development of design control measures, inspection, and test plans
- HSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) requirements
- Evaluating pipeline-related variation order requests
- EPCIC contractor compliance
- Transfer process to Operations
- Together with operations personnel, plan and develop pipeline integrity, maintenance activities and repair strategy and procedures

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s degree in civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- Relevant experience as a pipeline engineer or similar
- Experience of executing onshore projects in Brazil
- Experience with pipeline construction techniques such as welding, coating, excavation, trenchless crossings and assembly.
- Experience with cathodic protection design
- Excellent knowledge of Brazilian regulatory requirements and standards relevant to pipeline design and installation
- Experience in using risk management and risk classification systems
- Fluent written and oral communication in English and Portuguese
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer License (P.E.)
- Accredited by the Brazilian CREA
