Operations Technician
Location: Den Helder, Netherlands
Contract Duration: 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Join our dynamic team as an Operations Technician in the Oil & Gas industry, where you'll have the autonomy to operate production facilities and contribute to optimizing production while ensuring safety and asset integrity.

Role Overview

  • Safely operate plant processes and equipment to meet safety, environmental, production, and cost targets.
  • Ensure compliance with natural gas, oil, and condensate quality and quantity specifications.
  • Respond to process alarms and maintain operations within the Operating Envelope.
  • Manage start-up and shutdown of wells and facilities.
  • Conduct operator monitoring rounds and safety inspections, addressing any observations.
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled first-line maintenance activities.
  • Provide a safe working environment using quality Permits to Work (PTW) and Assist & Assure techniques.
  • Execute maintenance and operational activities safely through risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Prepare, apply, and remove process isolations as needed.
  • Maintain critical documentation such as Operating Procedures, process drawings, and Work Instructions.
  • Participate in project and business meetings to provide operational input.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Completed VAPRO B, Procesoperator B or equivalent (EVC).
  • Relevant experience in production operations within the oil & gas or chemical industry.
  • Experience with operational risk evaluation and control during activity execution.
  • Prior experience in Maintenance, Activity Scheduling, or Well Services is advantageous.
  • Curiosity to learn about conventional oil & gas operations and production facilities.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Completed VAPRO B, Procesoperator B or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
