The Payroll Administrator will administer the processing of the company timekeeping and payroll systems and processes, ensuring their accuracy, the compliance with all applicable regulations and the overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Detailed Responsibility:
- Processes payroll for multiple companies, both semi-monthly and bi-weekly. Assists with running shadow payroll for international employees.
- Utilizing the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, manages the data entry and import of payroll information into ADP Workforce Now software. Maintain the data integrity of the ADP database.
- Records, monitors and makes corrections to all timekeeping.
- Review, edit and balance weekly pay runs. Run reports after each pay run, ensuring all changes to payroll are processed correctly.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines, as well as internal policies/procedures and internal control directives.
- Ensures reports are accurate and disbursed in a timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee data; ensuring all payroll information, files and records are maintained in accordance with federal, state and local laws and requirements.
- Assists in researching and reconciling payroll accounts.
- Oversee the maintenance of employee attendance records and, when needed and in accordance with information from the Absence Management provider, record absences such as sick days, time off, vacations, etc.
- Intercompany contact for payroll inquiries.
- Performs calculations on all expatriate tax gross-ups.
- Liaison between the Tax, HR, Benefits, Payroll, Accounting and Worker’s Compensation teams to ensure 100% accuracy on all companywide communications, special projects and routine tasks.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of payroll documentation to ensure compliance.
- Provide and manage Payroll services for other subsidiaries as requested.
- Regularly liaise with Benefit Analyst and Expatriate Administrator on reconciliation of benefit and expatriate costs
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent industry payroll experience.
- CPP (certified payroll professional) certification highly preferred
- 8-10 years of payroll experience including working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relative to payroll issues.
- Extensive knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll system.
- Knowledge of complex Expatriate payroll/taxation analysis and administration.
- Must be an expert in Excel proficiency. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to effectively handle and resolve employee inquiries and issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
