Position General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience
- PE License Preferred
- A proven background in piping/mechanical engineering design, prefer some experience in the chemical and/or petrochemical process industry.
- Software Skills: Caesar II, NavisWorks, Microsoft Office required, preferred 3D piping design or modeling software such as Aveva E3D, CadWorx, Plant 3d.
- Experience in Piping Stress Analysis in accordance with ASME B31.3, ASME, API, and BPVC.
- Calculate and implement PSV Relief force calculations on piping systems
- Check allowable nozzle loads on fixed and rotating equipment.
- Review piping and valve specifications to ensure the process conditions are within the boundaries of the specification.
- Provide piping design input to designers to improve design, and reduces stress in the system.
- Travel could be required
- Full time 40 hours per week
- Duration 6+ month contract through Airswift
- Flexible work schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days from home
