Main Responsibility:
- Ensure all activities for Piping discipline related to Topside construction are planned, performed, and documented in accordance with the project contracts specifications and requirements.
- Responsibility will include:
- Be visible and engaged within HSE and act as a Safety Ambassador.
- Follow-up that all Mechanical construction work is performed with emphasis on HSE, required quality and in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
- Make sure that reporting is timely and accurate.
- Follow-up actions towards Lead, Supervisors and Engineering.
- Cooperate with inspectors from other disciplines in site team.
- Follow-up that Contractor's personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
- Follow-up that Contractor construction and quality control departments implement activities as per the required procedures, specification, and standards throughout all the construction phases.
- Follow-up work progress against plans and schedules. Identify and highlight areas of concern and address possible corrective actions.
- Ensure that all required welding qualifications are performed including the necessary documentation.
- Monitor the receipt and storage of piping & fitting materials.
- Follow up preservation during the whole construction process. Ensure that Piping and fittings, are protected and preserved according to specifications.
- Seek advice and clarification from relevant Lead to ensure that decisions are taken in a timely manner and with a necessary understanding.
- Ensure that inspections are reported as needed and follow-up Contractor’s quality findings and Non[1]Conformity Requests (NCR). Ensure that agreed reporting systems are used to document inspections and findings.
- Monitor and survey the Mechanical installation and testing.
- Participate in required inspection activities according to Inspection and Test plan (ITP) and in area/system punch out.
- Supervise activities with Welding and NDE Team’s requirement.
- Support Contractor/Subcontractor inspectors and assist solving the findings daily. Be proactive and take corrective actions without undermining contractor`s responsibility.
- Participate in audits/verifications in own discipline and beyond - if requested by the Piping lead.
- Identify improvement and debottleneck of site activities, such as punch killing and pressure testing.
- Participate in area/system/subsystem line-walk (MC activities) and verify/acknowledge ITR (Inspection and test record) as required.
- Work closely with contractor so that mechanical completion (MC) can be achieved without punch listed items.
- Follow up and verify contractor closing of punch items as required.
- Ensure that all piping supports including accessories and attachments are installed correctly and according to stress-ISO.
- Monitor contractors FMS (Flange Management system) when applicable.
Competence requirements:
The candidate should have?solid experience in following-up activities related to FPSO topsides construction.
A high HSSE spirit is expected.
experience related to FPSO topsides construction and piping test activities.
Experience of relevant Mechanical work from piping inspection point of view.
Deep knowledge and experience of relevant requirements and codes including international codes.
Relevant inspection certificates related to NDT´s (Visual of welds/PT, MT, UT and RT).
Specialized knowledge and experience on Dimension Control is an advantage.
Multi-discipline competence is beneficial
