We are seeking a highly skilled Planner to join our clients team in Surrey, United Kingdom. This is a 12-month initial contract with potential for extension.

Role Overview

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive planning and progress control system to support decision-making processes and ensure project completion within internal baselines and contractual requirements.
  • Identify and analyze any deviations from the plan, estimate time impacts, and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Ensure the project schedule is in line with contractual requirements and internal standards, highlighting any critical issues.
  • Collaborate with discipline leaders, supervisors, and managers to establish activities, milestones, and project constraints.
  • Prepare all necessary baseline documents and communicate planning and scheduling requirements to those responsible for executing the work.
  • Provide timely reporting on project progress.
  • Conduct critical path analysis.
  • Develop and implement planning and scheduling procedures.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and participate in risk management activities.
  • Monitor progress measurement systems and ensure accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Update project schedules, evaluate forecast dates, and monitor progress and productivity deviations.
  • Maintain records of significant events, such as contractual claims/obligations, productivity, deliverables, and materials status.
  • Create and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Issue weekly and monthly project reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar Planning role, ideally in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with EPCI projects highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Primavera P6
