RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- Operate, monitor, and maintain sour gas plant equipment, adhering to safe operating practices.
- Handle emergency response duties and provide on-call coverage as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, other Technicians, Electricians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors, and PLM for planning and executing work.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Maintain facility records and update drawings.
- Use maintenance software for documenting work.
- Develop and execute equipment lockouts.
- Assist Electrical, Operation, and PLM Technicians as needed.
- Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Supervise contract personnel and act as a subject matter expert for the assigned area.
- This role necessitates the wearing of respiratory protective equipment. Under Alberta OHS 250(2), ensure there is a seal that is good between the face piece of the equipment and the skin on your face when the equipment is sealing.
- Fouth Class Power Engineer Ticket is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial field, preferably with sour gas plant operations.
- Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Above-average analytical skills.
