Job Description:
The P&O (People & Organization) Business Engagement Partner acts as a focal point for our businesses, accountable for providing customer focused strategic HR solutions which fits best for the client group area. The individual serves as a strategic consultant, collaborating with line managers to provide insights, strategy, and solutions that support the client group's objectives. This role involves identifying opportunities for HR efficiencies, turning them into effective solutions, and delivering customer-focused initiatives in collaboration with the wider P&O team.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Consult and coach line managers on strategic HR, providing insights and solutions to support the client group.
- Understand the client group's business strategy and offer fit-for-purpose HR solutions aligned with their people plan.
- Identify opportunities for HR efficiencies and excellence within the client group.
- Deliver and embed customer-focused solutions in collaboration with the wider P&O team.
- Lead others in coaching business leaders on available options and strategies.
- Deliver value and performance within the client group and share best practices throughout the P&O team.
- Lead and coordinate key HR programs for the client group, providing support to leaders for effective people and team management.
- Actively manage the client relationship to ensure people needs are prioritized and addressed.
- Collaborate with Talent and Recruitment Partners to deliver talent management and acquisition plans, ensuring the organization has the right resources and capabilities.
- Act as the operational HR focal point for Contractor Performance Management, ensuring alignment with company’s Resources UK's leadership behaviours and values.
- Ensure alignment of HR actions, policies, and procedures across the P&O Business Engagement team, particularly in employee relations, to maintain consistency and fairness.
- Support the client group on ER matters and sickness absence case management.
- Consistently monitor Group Income Protection cases within the designated areas of responsibility. Offer proactive solutions to effectively manage and address these cases.
- Lead and/or support HR-related projects as required.
- Partner with the central team to secure the necessary expertise, following the new company standard of working.
- Participate as a member of the Human Resources Emergency Response Team.
- Extensive senior-level HR experience in a front-facing generalist role, demonstrating proficiency in handling diverse HR functions.
- Proven track record of providing value-added people solutions that directly contribute to business objectives.
- Serves as a role model for HR, exhibiting personal leadership aligned with business goals and values.
- Forward-thinking and innovative, consistently seeking out evolving ways to enhance organizational value.
- Demonstrates exceptional influencing skills, gaining buy-in from diverse stakeholders to drive organizational value.
- Combines commercial acumen with HR expertise to deliver professionalism and value to the organization, stakeholders, and peers.
- Exhibits determination, resourcefulness, and purpose in delivering optimal results, even in challenging circumstances.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management or O&G related field; master's degree preferred.
- Certification in HR management (e.g. CIPD) is preferred.
- The role may require travelling offshore for certain business requirements.
