Responsibilities:
- Providing technical expertise (equipment integrity management, repairs, and project development, etc.) for pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks
- Provide PEI-related technical support to the Process Unit/s to ensure the projects, ideas, and solutions generated are technically sound and in accordance with established guidelines.
- Identify and define improvement opportunities and provide technical assurance during developing and implementing resulting projects and recommendations.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts for specified issues, especially those associated with pressure equipment.
- Participate in the prioritization of production threats and opportunities via an internal database (MTO).
- Provide technical guidance for the mitigation of MTO issues and stay actively involved in the execution of the solution.
- Provide causal problem-solving capability in support of Site reliability performance.
- Provide technical expertise for Incident Investigations, especially those issues associated with pressure equipment.
- Provide or update technical documentation to ensure knowledge retention, continuity, and organizational learning.
- Ability to act as a Technical Authority for site management of change and projects.
- Integrates discipline activities to achieve delivery through a defined process.
- Performs design, operation, or maintenance tasks of facilities/plant, interfacing with stakeholders and maintenance contractors, as required.
- Support the MOC (Management of Change) and PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) work processes providing technical assurance for changes to pressure equipment (vessels, piping, tanks, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
- 5+ years of manufacturing plant experience in projects and/or maintenance engineering with direct responsibilities for pressure vessels, piping and tank design and/or integrity assurance.
- Equipment integrity and repair assessments.
- Working knowledge of API and ASME codes.
- ASME Section VIII, B31.1, and B31.3
- NBIC (National Board Inspection Code)
