Airswift is seeking to invite an experienced technical safety professional with FPSO project experience to consider a role with one of our clients. This role requires good organizational/coordination skills and management of the discipline. Direct contact with the client and vendors will be necessary.

The role of the Principal Technical Safety Engineer is to:

Perform as Technical Authority for Technical Safety Discipline.
Assist to plan, define, award and manage various Engineering Contractor’s technical deliverables for both basic engineering and detailed design.
Ensure compliance with Client basis of design and corporate specifications.
Prepare, interface with client and maintain a deviation request list with regards to all Client specifications.
Prepare project-specific discipline-related technical specifications and drawings with regards to all Client, Company and Classification Society requirements.
Ensure that all contractors and vendors meet the contractual, Classification Society and technical requirements related to technical safety discipline.
Responsible for ensuring development and consolidation of safety-discipline engineering registers/lists, using input from the other disciplines.
Arrange and manage the Safety Studies.
Ensure compliance with Safety Studies recommendations and best practices.
Travel as required
Assist to develop the team of Technical Safety Engineers and act as the Technical Authority for the company in this area.
Support business development/tendering, project execution and from time to time, operating units.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in a technical subject
15 years’ experience in a lead role with FPSO contractors.
Good use of Word and Excel
Good use of Navisworks
Able to write Technical Reports
Experience of FPSO projects
Experienced in Technical Safety
Proven experience of reviewing & commenting on deliverables from contractors
