Location: Kisa, Sweden / Gothenburg, Sweden

Contract duration: initial 4-6 month assignment, potential to extend

Overview:

As the world’s leading provider of gasification technology for renewable energy production, based on small fraction fuels, we are proud to be in a position to expand our team in Sweden and have partnered with Airswift to support our recruitment plans in 2022 & 2023.

 

We are seeking x2 Process Commissioning Engineers to support a thermochemical conversion plant with the capacity of generating at least 4,2 MW gas to replace fossil gas consumption at a process plant in Kisa, Sweden. The project will help to address the main remaining CO2-reduction challenge and it is estimated that the plant will reduce its CO2 emissions by 8500 tons per year compared with the carbon footprint of today’s consumption of fossil LPG.

 

The successful individual(s) will be engaged on a contract basis for an initial 4-6 month period, engaged via Airswift Sweden. There is the potential to start as early as December 2022, working remotely in preparation and familiarisation phases, before site Commissioning activities start in January 2023 based in Kisa, Sweden. The company HQ is located in Gothenburg, Sweden with the opportunity to support further plants / projects across Europe following completion of the Kisa assignment.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing of and as required preparation of detail plans, preparation of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up plans and procedures including system & sub-system allocation & CMS population
  • Hands on leadership of a team of commissioning discipline engineers and process operators in carrying out Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning & Start-up activities
  • Identify requirements and scope of work, review specifications, drawings and other documents of the project and establish applicability to the scope of work
  • Pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation of Renewable Gas Facilities
  • Support operation in all phases of commissioning, start-up and initial operations
  • Participating in development of Standard Operation Procedures and operation instructions
  • Providing input to periodic project reports
  • Ensure that the relevant Permit to Work is in place prior to commencement of work
  • Inspect and ensure all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the system for commissioning and ensure the setting up of safety procedures for the same
  • Ensure that all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the commissioning
  • Attendance/input to pre and post start-up HAZOP/HAZIDs and SIMOPS
  • Educate process operators / technicians

 

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in process engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in process plant operations and/or commissioning and start-up
  • The job demands a high standard of verbal & written English, a strong team player with highly effective communications / interpersonal & coaching skills, and PC literacy
  • Fluent in Swedish or other Scandinavian language would be beneficial however is not a necessary requirement
  • Must have current EU residency or work permit
  • Must be able to work on international sites extensive periods
