Process Engineer - Huizhou, China

Airswift is seeking for a Process Engineer role for a Chemical Project to be based in Huizhou, China.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide process design / project development support for the development / execution of new projects
  • Work with licensor to review design drawings and resolve potential design issue
  • Work with EPC contractor to resolve potential design issue
  • Review engineering drawings against design
  • Review field changes for ongoing projects to ensure projects are meeting project design basis and changes have no design/safety/operability impact 
  • Participate in HZAOP/LOPA and other safety related studies/analysis and ensure full closure of all HAZOP/LOPA items prior to mechanical completion/startup
  • Attend final acceptance test for process related check (e.g. distributor leak test) at vendor shop
  • Participate in field inspection of completed facilities (e.g. tower trays inspection)
  • Participate in field walk through to check completeness of facilities installed against design
  • Check final as built drawings against field installation and design
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Five to ten years of relevant process design experience in the petrochemical / chemical industry, a refinery or a similar industry
  • Familiar with the development of H&MB, PFD / P&IDs, as well as the designs / specifications of process equipment
  • Good knowledge of the industry standards and practices relevant to process designing and safety
  • Good knowledge of process design computer simulation and designing tools, and the use of analytical tools
  • Good knowledge of field check during construction and at final mechanical acceptance
  • An effective team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work in a refinery / petrochemical plant environment
  • Willing to work in EPC engineering office and field construction site office
