Process Engineer (Bio-Pharma) - Singapore


Airswift is seeking for a Process Engineer to based in Singapore to join their technical teams and focus to deliver on a biopharmaceutical industry project professionally, within budget, on-time, and according to the latest technical standards.

The Client
Global design, consulting, engineering and delivery of turnkey projects for high-tech industries such as semiconductors, battery cells, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and data center worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for specialist design and project planning, design, specification and development in all project phases
  • Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover;
  • Progressing all elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist
  • Preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, data sheets and functional descriptions.
  • Pressure loss calculations, equipment sizing, utility, heat and mass balances
  • Process capacity calculations from customer URS
  • Participate in design reviews and production of tender specifications and bid evaluation
  • Defining and agreeing system Sequences of Operation and checking the Controls Engineering design for compliance with requirements
  • Ensuring all interfaces are provided in the correct location, with agreed dimensional requirements and in compliance with specification
  • Evaluating technical submittals for specifications and client requirement compliance
  • Monitoring the quality and speed of installations for the systems
  • Creating testing and commission passing criteria to the System Supervisor;
  • Scheduling and leading system site acceptance testing, managing punchlist to closure
  • Preparation of as built documentation and chairing sub-contractor progress meetings
  • Support cost estimating exercises
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering or similar.
  • 2 – 8 years of relevant working experience in development, planning, realization and commissioning of process plants, desirably in the life science industry
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team with a customer-oriented approach.
