Ideally based in Queensland or New South Wales, this role is flexible to work-from-home.
The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for supporting pre-contract activities in Transmission and Substation construction projects, reporting to the Project Manager, you will work with the team to develop tenders, once won you will work with the site-based construction (mostly remotely, but will be required to complete adhoc travel as and when required) to assist in project delivery, other responsibilities include;
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate pre-tender and civil design process with internal and external consultants.
- Review and provide comments on design documents and studies.
- Assist Project Managers with the preparation of contractual notices related to scope changes.
- Ensure processes are followed and are compliant with relevant legislation.
- Review and comment on technical documentation and Scope of Work during tender preparation.
- Proactively work with the project and estimating teams to prepare tenders.
- Identify design improvements, optimizations, and design savings.
- Manage safety in design process.
- Track all project deliverables related to civil & structural engineering and report monthly on status and issues.
- Proactively identify manage changes in interconnection scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
Required Experience
- Tertiary Engineering Degree in Civil
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in Generator Interconnection to Transmission or Distribution networks.
- Understanding of the Australian Power market
- Knowledge of all legal and technical documentation related to Australian power market
- Drivers License
- Two Professional references

Airswift are currently recruiting for a Metal Frame Designer needed for a leading EPC in the Energy Industry.
The role is specific to a new Green Energy project focusing on Green Hydrogen.
This role will be on a six month renewable contract. The role is expected to be a long term position based in France.
The Design Engineer will be responsible for the guide plans of the structure and frames of buildings and other works related to metal.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Establish and Design all specific details needed for all metal frames through out the project
- Establish and Design of roof plans - Cladding and Roofing
- Understanding and apply all building standards for project completion
- Understand and sign off of the carpentry plans issued by the other disciplines
- Verification of plans
Requirements:
- Steel Frame Designer experience and showing the know-how of the industrial installations
- Ability to work with standards, rules and study instructions of projects.
- Coordination with designers working on neighbouring sectors for the control of intersectoral interfaces.
- Ability to apply project procedures

Airswift is supporting one of the largest operating clients in the world. We are looking for a Wind Yield Engineer to support them.
The Wind Yield Engineer responsibility to asses the wind energy yield for the company's projects.
This role will be on a 12-month contract with a scope to extension.
Responsibilities:
- Define, Prepare and and perform wind measurement campaigns, Wind analysis and optimization of the wind farm production.
- Participate to all activities relating to wind energy yield activities
- Wind flow model implementation, layout optimization and wind turbine selection
- Writing and issuing technical reports, specification and guides for internal and external use
Qualifications:
- Specialisation in Meteodyn, Windographer, Windpro and Openwind
- English and French speaking
- 12 month contract length (Renewable)
- Good knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Numerical analysis, statistics and meteorology
