We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source Procurement Coordinator to be based in Perth WA This is 12 month + contract potential to extension depending of performance salary competitive role working

About the position


Provide technical support to Procurement Services Specialist and Sourcing Leads for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of automated materials purchasing via price list arrangements / SAP outline agreements

 

  • Provide procurement support and analytics to Contracts Advisors, Material Buyers, and line manager for purchasing data (outstanding RFQs, aged Purchase Requisitions, materials lead time review etc.)
  • Provide guidance & training to non-Contracts and Procurement (C&P) Ipersonnel on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
  • Provide administrative support to Procurement Services Specialist to maximise the cost efficiency of Business
  • Process Outsourcing (BPO) by providing procurement advice to Manila-based BPO teams as C&P point of contact to ensure that day to day business priorities are executed with quality in a timely manner

    Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all time
  • Ensure the Company’s commitment to and compliance with safety, quality and health regimes is reflected in all contracts


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Procurement Services Specialist for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of automated material orders via price lists / SAP outline agreements
  • Provide procurement support and analytics to Contracts Advisors, Material Buyers, and line manager for purchasing data (outstanding RFQ, aged Purchase Requisitions, materials lead time review etc.)
  • Provide procurement advice to the relevant non-Contracts and Procurement personnel
  • Provide administrative support to Procurement Services Specialist to maximise the cost efficiency of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) by providing procurement advice to Manila-based BPO teams as C&P point of contact to ensure that day to day business priorities are executed with quality in a timely manner
  • Aligns key performance metrics that improve BPO (Manila) teams’ performance and offer process efficiency solutions to drive improvement
  • Keep line manager and other C&P leadership team informed of any potential significant issues

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Statistics or equivalent


Skills / Experience requirement

  • Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience, preferably in mining or oil and gas operating environment
  • Experience and knowledge of C&P processes, analytics and philosophies
  • Intermediate or advanced SAP-MM skills
  • Intermediate or advanced skills using MS Office suite i.e. Word, Excel (pivot tables, vlookup etc), Power Point and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to communicate clearly with management and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure managing multi-task scenarios
  • Resilient and enthusiastic within an agile working environment
  • Ability to work within a team environment, positively contributing to the group
  • A strong problem solver with comprehensive analytical skills
