We are seeking a Project Controller based in Beaumont, TX. This position will be give some support to scheduling activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial operating environment, preferably in the Oil and Gas, and petrochemical Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support project leads with spending reports, actuals vs. commitment analysis, purchase order reports, and monthly accruals
- Works collaboratively with other departments (Maintenance, Finance, Accounts Payables, Procurement, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, or other service providers to obtain accrual information to support monthly reporting
- Handling general accounting administration
- Tracking quantities and project engineering data accurately
- Chasing down accruals and pushing invoices
- Managing administrative tasks and project controls.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or Business degree
- 5-10 years of cost and schedule experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining industries
- Experience at Operating / Industrial facility on capital and expense projects
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Primavera P6 or other scheduling software
- Experience with project controls on the owner's side of a project is a plus
