Position Summary:
This position will have diverse responsibilities, including project planning and scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, and documentation. Contributes to a project team supporting projects from early-stage engineering through construction.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Support project management in Requests for Proposal preparation and bid evaluations.
- Assist Material Coordinators with material procurement for projects.
- Create and route project requisitions.
- Create purchase orders (POs) and manage contractor communication via the FS2 Portal. Assist and audit Site View entries.
- Review and validate vendor invoices. Ensures project invoices are accurately prepared and submitted timely.
- Develops and maintains regular cost reports.
- Monitor expected and actual delivery dates of materials.
- Collect, analyze, and report committed and actual costs for the project.
- Update monthly project forecast in the cost controls system.
- Perform cost variance analysis.
- Monitor project budgets and contract commitments.
- Participate in creating and implementing cost controls system and processes.
- Generate ad-hoc reporting upon request.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Make occasional field trips.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Competent in SharePoint, Projects for the Web, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls and material procurement
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
