Report to. General Manager – Process & fixed Plant, Director Project - Director Project –

Fixed Plant Expansion project is be responsible for overseeing fixed plant expansion project to ensure the quality is a high standard, and that it is running to the timescales allowed


•   8 direct subordinates

•   25 indirect subordinates



(Three to five lines describing the main purpose, what, why, and to what standard, and if appropriate, for whom, when, how, etc.)

•   To  have  responsibility  for  the successful conclusion  of  the fixed  plant  expansion projects.

•   To oversee managers to coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard.

•   To provide leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time.


3. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, included but not limited to: Production/Technical/Projects

  • Monitors build progress, oversees finance and ensures project quality
  • Makes strategic decisions and provides leadership and direction to managers to implement those decisions
  • Meets with clients, stakeholders and general manager to report on project progress
  • Coordinates the efforts of fixed plant expansion related managers in order to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished
  • Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for the expansion project
  • Creates a budget for the completion of the expansion project, and monitors the amount of money spent in order to ensure the project does not exceed this amount
  • Recommends changes to the expansion project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results
  • Develops an alternate course of action for completing projects should the initial plan fail
  • Makes presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project
  • Reviews proposals and approves or denies them
  • Contracts with outside agencies for support on an as-needed basis

  • Establishes systems to ensure that the organization’s continuous improvement processes are communicated to all stakeholders
  • Develop effective mentoring and coaching processes to ensure that individuals and teams are able to implement and support the organization’s continuous improvement processes.
  • Identifies Consider areas for further improvement when undertaking future planning.

People & Learning

  • Develop strategies to ensure that workplace learning opportunities are used and that team members are encouraged to share their skills and knowledge to encourage a learning culture within the team.
  • Develop strategies to ensure that team and individual learning performance is monitored to determine the type and extent of any additional work-based support required, and any occupational health and safety (OHS) issues.

Communication (Committees, Meeting, and Required Liaising)

  • Creates and continuously evaluates communication tools and processes throughout the organization.
  • Creates an environment which encourages open and honest communication across organizational barriers.



(Environment, place of work, working hours, etc.)

  • Require working on a mining and construction site in Indonesia.
  • Require to be on call on a 24 hours 365 days/year basis.
  • Require accessing mining areas and rough terrain on a regular basis.


5.  REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Mandatory Requirements for this position:


Minimal Required


•   15+ years of experience in fixed plant Project Management

•   Previous experience managing project scopes in the range of US$

500 million-to-1-billion-dollar project scopes/budgets is required

•   Must have been in a managerial role for more than 10 years with strong experience in fixed plant construction, project management. A combined experience would be an added advantage.


•   Willing to relocate to project site as a permanent resident

•   Good communication and stakeholder management skills

•   Problem   solving, Manpower   management, Critical Thinking,
