Airswift is supporting a leading Operator in the renewable energy industry.

We are looking for a Project Manager to support our client on a 15 month contract with the scope to be extended.

The Project Manager will be responsible for preparing and supervising the installation of solar panels across HV Substations and other sites across the Electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting the purchasing team in writing the specifications for the suppliers

- With support from the technical teams you will be responsible for the standards and requirments in which the installations must meet

- Organise the planning, preparation studies, management of projects for the roll out of charging infrastructures for EVs.

-Successfully track and manage budgets throughout the project lifecycle

-Managing stakeholders and client expectations, targets and timelines

Qualifications:

- 5 or more years experience in Electrical Installations and solar panels

-Fluent in French and Dutch

- Project Management Experience is required

Airswift has been tasked by one of your most valued clients, active in the energy transition, to seek an experienced Electrical Engineer for a Lead Electrical Engineer position, based in Zwolle, Netherlands.

The role

As the Lead Electrical Engineer at our client, you are responsible for all electrical aspects of international projects. Together with the project manager, you "carry" the projects. This ranges from high and/or low-voltage distribution systems, (emergency) generators, short-circuit, load flow, and selectivity calculations carried out with ETAP, cabling, design of battery installations, hybrid energy solutions, ENMCS, interfaces to PCS systems. You do this in various project phases such as define, FEED, detail, and execution. Additionally, you provide support throughout the entire project execution. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for creating technical specifications, developing electrical drawings, creating and reviewing related calculations, producing design specifications, conducting interim and final inspections at our suppliers, and providing support for our sales department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical aspects of international projects, collaborating with project managers.
• Manage design and calculations for distribution systems, generators, and hybrid energy solutions.
• Develop technical specifications, electrical drawings, and design documentation.
• Conduct inspections, both interim and final, at supplier sites.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating with managers and engineers.
• Optimize design processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and support project progress through travel and meetings.

Requirements

• Completed technical HBO/WO education, in the field of Electrical Engineering;
• Experience in a similar role in an international technical project environment;
• NEN3140 certification;
• VCA VP;
• STIPEL Installation/Work Supervisor;
• Proficiency in English;
• You have good social and communication skills;
• You possess leadership qualities;
• You have good planning skills;
• You can lead multiple projects;
• You are cost-conscious.

The Challenge
Do you have the ability to provide technical direction to a project and maintain a complete technical overview from start to finish?
As the Lead Engineer at our client, you will be the central figure in the project from beginning to end. You will create the system design yourself and maintain direct contact with the customer. You possess the capacity to approach problems analytically and through modeling. You will establish specifications for major procurement components and guide the multidisciplinary detailed design. You will be technically accountable for contract execution. You will supervise engineers in the power electronics and electronics control disciplines. You will prepare site operations and instruct Commissioning Engineers. When the installation functions as expected, the customer is satisfied, and the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is successfully completed, the project becomes a success for both you and your team.
You will regularly collaborate and align with suppliers and Project Managers for your project. Additionally, you will support the Sales, Services, and Workshop teams with your technical expertise.

Requirements

• Completed technical university degree in the field of measurement and control engineering or (power) electronics or similar.
• You possess strong analytical abilities and experience in a similar role.
• You are solution-oriented, customer-focused, independent, and a true team player.
• You have excellent English language proficiency in both spoken and written forms; German is a plus.
• You take ownership of your work.
