About the role
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.

Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months
Role Responsibilities:
- Apply established procedures and tools for project technical coordination and ensure compliance with approved systems and processes.
- Oversee the design team to ensure alignment with customer requirements, codes, and regulations.
- Manage project schedules and resources, tracking progress, and addressing any issues with action plans.
- Monitor project control reports and manage project costs, schedules, and forecasts.
- Ensure the project team follows change control processes and meets objectives related to scope, schedule, productivity, and budget.
- Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring performance meets quality and deadlines, while addressing any gaps.
- Serve as the technical interface with customers, vendors, and suppliers, resolving coordination issues and communicating project status.
- Identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation and resolution plans.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental (HSE) focus within the team, ensuring HSE requirements are integrated into design and procurement.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent in engineering, with professional registration in local jurisdiction.
- Certified Project Management Professional (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM).
- Relevant years of engineering experience, including supervisory and project management experience.
- Experience with EPCM and EPC projects, including site assignments.
- Strong organizational skills and experience in managing change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ability to organize information according to prescribed formats.
- Ability to make independent decisions based on guidelines while considering project costs and schedules.
