Our client is looking for a Project Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation (senior considered as well) to be based in Perth.
Role: Project Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation (Senior considered as well)
Location: Perth, WA - QV1
Duration: 12 months initial contract - June 2024 start
(Full-time project duration from June 2024 to late 2027).
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering with extensive field experience.
- 5-8+ years of experience
- Experience in a mining construction environment
- Previous experience in managing a Contractor with technical, construction and commercial tasks and understanding
- High level of computer literacy (operating systems, office products, engineering tools).
- Electrical nominee (desirable but not essential)
- Good Communication skills in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Perth office-based role initially - potentially mobilising to the site during construction
- Reporting to the Lead SMPE&I Senior Project Engineer
- Assist in creating, tendering, managing and closeout of SMPE&I Supply and Installation Contract
- Assist in managing E&I portions of the SMPE&I Contract offsite and onsite during construction
- Review documentation with the Lead SMPE&I Senior Project Engineer to ensure technical aspects of the package are defined
- Development of scope to ensure sub-contract suppliers and site installation scopes are well-defined
- Provide a focal point for all E&I-focused technical and construction-based queries from the Contractor
- Liaise with both in-house and external designers as required for the successful completion of the project
- Ensure that the HSEQ requirements of the project are adhered to and that company procedures are followed
- Manage minor procurement packages
- Managing and tracking project expenditure in relation to scope and budget for materials and labour
- Assist in Project document and drawing control
- Manage and review/approve Contractor documentation through the life of Contract
- Assist in project reporting – both in-house and client reports
