The role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be a key player in their Brisbane-based Engineering Team, within the Energy & Resources division.
- Provide engineering support and project schedule management duties as delegated by the CHPP & TLO Project Manager
- Foster a positive site safety culture by attending / participating in safety-related activities, e.g. audits, pre-starts, interactions and incident investigations, etc.
- Inspect works to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
- Raise actions for non-conforming works, safety or environmental issues
- Report any accidents and incidents immediately to Project Manager
- Co-ordinate and attend Site meetings and provide technical expertise if required
- Act as "Client Liaison" to address onsite issues quickly avoiding delays and potential disputes
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering and experience working within the mining industry.
- Intensive mechanical background.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of discipline design standards and engineering systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Positive, can-do attitude; and attention to detail.
