Production Engineering Manager – Carbon Capture


Location: Raaba, Graz, Austria

Permanent, full-time, and on-site position

Reporting to the Vice President


Air Pollution Control develops and markets plants for capture and further utilization of CO2 from exhaust gases of various industrial applications, using technologies such as dedusting, flue gas cleaning systems, mercury control, DeSOx, DeNOx, Decarbonization, FGC.

In order to expand the business and improve the technologies, we are looking for a Carbon Capture Expert to be a dedicated Project Engineering Manager to strengthen the team in Graz, Austria.


Your responsibilities:

· Coordination, leading and supporting the engineering team (up to 15 employees of system, structural, piping, mechanical) in an international plant construction project for Carbon Capture

· Work on a €20-30M project with duration of 2 years

· Reporting to the Vice President

· Optimization of the plant design within the project budget, the schedule, standards, guidelines, and the customer contract

· Coordination of resources and tasks within a project team

· Responsibility for the implementation of the technical concept according to the contract

· Development and creation of technical standards, specifications and templates for equipment and subsystems of carbon capture systems (e.g compression and liquefaction, reboiler, reclaimers)

· Flexible position, ideally working in Graz, with possibility of working from outside of Austria


Your profile:

· Completed technical education (Technical University or similar) in mechanical engineering, process engineering or similar

· At least 5 years of hands-on experience within CCUS, mechanical design, piping, or build of plant sector

· Experience in project-based business, experience in the area of large industrial projects an advantage Experience in carbon capture technology, especially in the realization and operation of commercial plants is expected

· Good knowledge of project management tools, MS Project, MS Teams and MS Office

· Strong communication skills in technical discussions and negotiations, team player

· Proactive, structured and solution-oriented way of working

· Willingness to travel

· Fluent in written and spoken English (min. B2) required, German and other language skills are an advantage
