The Company

A global resource consultancy who has a portfolio of resources projects in Australia. As a result of new global initiatives, we are looking for a Project Information Manager to join the team.


The Role

You will work with the Global Information Management and Project Delivery Services Team in carrying out project activities. This includes enabling and popularizing the use of intelligent production systems in all projects, creation of information management and digitization plans for the projects, support and contribution of the project perspective in the development of global data-centric solutions, supporting the implementation and efficient use of IT technologies and solutions in projects through all phases from early FEED to go-live, implementation of the principles of data-centric engineering in projects; the systems are intended to function as part of an integrated environment, and setting up and implementing workflows to continuously improve the usage and performance of engineering and construction applications within the integrated environment

This is 12 months contracting role based in Perth CBD with flexible WFH arrangements on offer.


The Individual

  • Planning, estimating and resource planning of IM/IT services for the project
  • Preparation and presentation of a project IM/IT plan and a data management plan to stakeholders and customers
  • Management of the team of administrators and developers in the projects
  • Design of a project system landscape and key data flows across all engineering disciplines, construction and commissioning
  • Creation of a digitization plan with a focus on the needs of each project phase and seamless transition from engineering to operations and maintenance
  • Creation of a project class library streamlined based on the project scope, scope of work and client requirements
  • The types of solutions under the oversight of the PIM include intelligent engineering systems, supplier data management software, document management systems, digital twin implementations, construction and commissioning management systems, materials management systems, agile project delivery solutions, data engineering and BI tools, solutions for on-site automation such as AR/VR tools, construction progress and mobility tracking systems, security monitoring systems and cross-system interfaces
  • Communication and detailing of the project requirements internally and with the customer and, based on this, the selection of the optimal configuration of EPC systems for project management
  • Continuous implementation of the data-centric work methodology at the overall project and discipline level
  • Assuming the role of a business analyst in identifying and shaping reporting requirements in communication with project stakeholders. Working closely with data analysts and engineers to build progress reports for the projects
  • Creation of plans and implementation of tools and workflows for data collection, validation and consolidation of suppliers and subcontractors for handover
  • Preparation of projects for data, 3D and schematic model delivery according to customer requirements
  • Gathering feedback on user experiences and lessons learned from the projects under supervision and reporting to the regional and global team as appropriate
  • Advising the global development teams on the functional requirements and user stories obtained in the projects



  • Excellent understanding of the architecture of EPC tools and systems, interfaces between tools, integration best practices. Knowledge of the AVEVA and Hexagon systems and their most important functional and architectural aspects (e.g. SmartPlant Instrumentation, Electrical, P&ID, Smart 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, AVEVA E3D, AVEVA NET, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA P&ID)
  • Proven experience in EPC projects Digital delivery
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of EPCM ‘data centric’ project execution environment and Define (FEED) / Design (Detail design) / Procurement / Build (Construct and Commission) deliverables


Qualifications required

  • A tertiary qualification is essential
  • Agile certification is beneficial
  • Change management accreditation is beneficial
  • PMP or Prince2 certification is beneficial
