Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Project Manager to join them in Aberdeen. This is a 12-month contract that can be extended.
Role Purpose:
• To safely deliver allocated projects on the assigned asset(s) realising the agreed business value.
Accountabilities:
• Act in the role of Project Manager, understanding and owning business cases of the assigned projects and subsequently delivering in line with the agreed business value (encompasses Safety, Cost, Quality, and Value (ROI) metrics)
• Contributes to forming the squad mission and owning/delivering the outcome.
• Interlinking with TAR’s/Outages – work with peers to ensure assigned projects with TAR interdependency are highlighted to the TAR team and integrated as part of the project work break down structure. In doing so ensuring the TAR gates of readiness are adhered to.
• Ownership of the project risk, change and lessons learned – using tools available (Digital Projects) ensure these are discussed, mitigated, and managed.
• Supports squad members in the delivery of allotted tasks and projects, provide coaching and make use of the suite of agile tools to support enhanced decision making.
• Supports the Squad lead and the DL Team leader with the implementation of initiatives in service of improving project delivery.
• Contributes to the self-verification and peer review processes to demonstrate compliance with the Site Projects Process. Where appropriate implementing findings from these audits/reviews.
• Develops and implements lessons learned as part of the continuous learning cycle.
• Carries out a performance assurance role of the EPC contractor ensuring allocated projects are delivered in line with commitments to the required quality standards.
Role Stakeholders
• Facilities Support Squad Lead – Represents assigned projects at the various integration meetings.
• Squad Lead – deputises for the squad lead providing holiday and training cover.
• EPC – Integrates with the incumbent contractors to ensure a collaborative environment is created to enhance project delivery.
• Squad member – works in collaboration with the PSU, Facilities, TAR’s & Outages, and Maintenance squad members.
• Partners – could be asked to represent the site project function at various partner meetings.
• Offshore team – maintain relationships with offshore stakeholders e.g. MTL, SSL and PTL, taking on board feedback and working to improve how projects are delivered.
Priorities and Behavioural Objectives
• Engage and support the implementation of agile tools to aid decision making and increase collaboration with the incumbent contractors.
• Implementation of digital projects to enhance project delivery:
o Inputting risk, management of change and lessons learned to aid the development of the overall site projects capability.
Qualifications
• BSc/BEng/Masters in an engineering / science / project management related degree, or
• Significant experience in a high hazard hydrocarbon industry with a trade background combined with experience of delivering brown or green field projects.
