Our client is a leading consultancy in engineering and project management across transport and utility infrastructure, they’re currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Melbourne for a 9-month contract or full-time permanent basis.
  • Project site office based in West Melbourne
  • 9-month contract or permanent contract available

Responsibilities
The purpose of the Project Manager position is to oversee the delivery of medium to large cross-sector services and commissioning, this project involves a large MV/HV cable installation for a utility energy project in West Melbourne. Working in partnership with our clients to deliver project services efficiently, to budget, and to high standards, this role is also responsible for;
  • Manage delivery of projects effectively and to budget
  • Provide technical support to senior leadership, and reporting on job status and project performance
  • Project level planning, financial management, and scheduling, and forecasting responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and managing issues as appropriate
  • Enhance client relationships, working closely with the client to determine the requirements of the project, preparing services briefs, and anticipating client needs
  • Mentoring team members and subordinate staff
  •  Positively contribute to business development activities, positively represent the company across relevant industries and grow long-term relationships with clients
  • Lead by example, maintaining high standards of safety and commercial aptitude and ethical practices generally

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Relevant experience in Project Management (Energy or Construction sectors)
  • Bachelors in Engineering or similar
  • Competent in MS Project, Primavera, or similar
  • 8+ years Project Management experience
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
  • Sound knowledge of PMBOK
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Two industry relevant Referees
