The purpose of the Project Manager position is to oversee the delivery of medium to large cross-sector services and commissioning, this project involves a large MV/HV cable installation for a utility energy project in West Melbourne. Working in partnership with our clients to deliver project services efficiently, to budget, and to high standards, this role is also responsible for;
- Manage delivery of projects effectively and to budget
- Provide technical support to senior leadership, and reporting on job status and project performance
- Project level planning, financial management, and scheduling, and forecasting responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for improvement and managing issues as appropriate
- Enhance client relationships, working closely with the client to determine the requirements of the project, preparing services briefs, and anticipating client needs
- Mentoring team members and subordinate staff
- Positively contribute to business development activities, positively represent the company across relevant industries and grow long-term relationships with clients
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards of safety and commercial aptitude and ethical practices generally
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant experience in Project Management (Energy or Construction sectors)
- Bachelors in Engineering or similar
- Competent in MS Project, Primavera, or similar
- 8+ years Project Management experience
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
- Sound knowledge of PMBOK
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
- Two industry relevant Referees
